The QCTO conducts and commissions research on occupational and trade-related qualifications design, assessment, and quality assurance. Models are developed based on international best practice, and developments, both in current practice and in terms of the future world of work, are investigated and analysed.

The research mandate includes providing research-based advice and feedback to the organisation and publishing information that is of value to QCTO’s stakeholders.
